Kolkata: An official announcement from Tamil Nadu School Education Department revealed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSE+2) 2025 for Class 12 is set to commence on March 3, 2025, and will continue until March 25, 2025.
It also projected that more than 8 lakh students are expected to take part in the exams. Authorities have assured about all necessary preparations will be in place to ensure a smooth and organized examination process during the entire duration.
With thousands of students gearing up for these crucial assessments, the Tamil Nadu education board is focused on maintaining a structured and efficient exam environment across the state.

Tamil Nadu School Education issued examination guidelines for students. As per the guidelines each exam will have a three-hour duration as per the standard format. Students will be given 10 minutes before the exam begins to go through the question paper and 5 minutes to verify their details.

Tamil Nadu HSE+2 Exam 2024 Report
The previous year a total of 7,60,606 students were reported to be appeared for the Tamil Nadu HSE +2 exams. In 2024, the Class 12 board exams in Tamil Nadu were conducted from March 1 to March 22. The practical exams took place between February 12 and February 17, 2024, while supplementary exams were scheduled from June 24 to July 1, 2024.
The result was declared on May 6, 2024, with the reported overall pass percentage at 94.56%, with girls achieving a higher success rate of 96.44%, surpassing boys, with a pass percentage of 92.37%.

Tamil Nadu 12th Result Date 2025 is expected to be May 2025. Students will be able to check their results by logging into the official website, dge.tn.gov.in, after authenticating with their roll number, date of birth, and captcha code.

Ans: The total marks for each subject in Tamil Nadu HSE 12th board exams is 100. Students, scoring at least 35 out of 100 for each subject, will be considered as passed.
